I'm looking for a few recommendations.

I like to go hiking up in the hills, canoeing, white water rafting, or work with horses. Pretty much anything outside, where there's not alot of people around.

I used to sit back the lake side when I was in Rochester. Hear the waves and feel the breeze.

Of course that was in the summer time. Don't do this now if you don't want frost bites.

I hope everything is okay RedEye.

I doubt Red will get frostbite in Hotlanta ;)

I like to read when things aren't going well.....escape into another world, in a way.

reading is a good release...watch a good movie or tv show you can really get into

My uncle Guy uses ether (Quick Start) to anethesize his barn cats so he can spay or neuter them himself.

lol........... dare I ask what a barn cat is BigDoug?

Don't do it RedEye you don't want to be spayed.

Š
01-30-2003, 09:19 PM
Those cats you keep in your barn to keepp the mice away. If you don't "take care" of them, they multiply pretty quickly. I was at a friends place 2 yrs ago he had 5 cats, but the next time I saw him (Oct) he was up to @ 45 & had lost count. doh!

Hopefully he has a better chance of being neutered, rather than spayed. :chuckle:

:phew: Your being serious. I thought you were snaring me into one of your jokes for a second, BigDoug. If you'll forgive me, I'm not wise to country ways. The term 'barn cat' certainly sounded as if it had a second meaning. :)

No if he was spayed by Doug's uncle Guy he probably would take out the wrong parts.

Don't write anything down. It can be used against you in a court of law.

I like to walk. Just get out and move. I also take a walkman with me. Music really helps me. I love to sing and sometimes when I'm singing I tend to forget what's upsetting me. I like to be alone when I'm down or troubled. I don't like being hounded by people trying to make me feel better. I feel like I have to pretend to be happy or okay to make them feel better.

Good luck, Red. I'm really sorry for all of your troubles.:pet: I hope that you can find some peace and happiness. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Honestly….the best thing to do is Drink heavily. Go with some hard liquor. Just get totally trashed. But don’t drive. Just stay at home and drink. And check your medicine cabinet…..Maybe if you have some good PainKillers……that helps…

What horrible advice, Patrick!:shakeno: That's a recipe for disaster! Alcohol is a depressant. Jaded:stick:Patrick

Don't listen to him, Red.

Fishing is probably my favorite form of escapism; great way to relax and clear my head... Unfortunately, I don't get nearly as many chances to go as I'd like right now. Golf, books, and video games also often help me to get my mind off things, and sometimes just listening to music can really help out too. Hitting the gym also works well for me.

Thanks MB! Actually, I have been painting like a mad man. Lately I feel as if it prevokes emotion a little too much - I'm taking a break for a while. That's exactly why I posted this thread. I need to try some different outlets. Let me know how moving back to Buffalo makes you feel - perhaps I'll give that a try.;)

:snicker: I thought it might be funny to rearrange these 2 statements.

Thank you everyone. I completely appreciate everyones thoughts and ideas and I promise each of you that I'll put them all into good use. Oh yeah, and I also promise this will be my last post concerning my personal matters. I'm certain that some of you are probably tired of hearing sob stories:violin: - not to mention the high level of uncomfortability. Before I even meet any of you, some of you may think of me as an emotional retard that is unable to handle his own matters. I know I would.

I should start a sob story thread, just to see who has bigger problems. I just posted a thread on gambling addiction, because hubby just failed the test, (which I knew he would) and I was going to ask for support. I probably won't get any good feed back though, because Fat Tony has way too many friends here! :D

Welcome to the BFZ. Sorry I over looked this earlier. I love trout fishing and that sounds like a perfect upcoming weekend trip for me to take. Thanks.

Don't be silly, Red. We've all had some difficult times and sometimes just talking to others helps to relieve some of what you're holding in. That's what we're here for, just like Shelby and Phil said. Vent and post all you want. I hope we can be of help. :friends: :holdhand:
