    Jevon Walker - "Trade Me"

"I just don't feel like this is the best place for me to be right now," said Walker, 27, preparing to enter his sixth pro season. "I really have no interest in being in a Green Bay Packers uniform or playing for Green Bay again."

Citing recent contract squabbles with running back Ahman Green, tight end Bubba Franks, defensive lineman Grady Jackson and cornerback Mike McKenzie, as well as his own, Walker added, "I just don't like the way the organization runs itself. They want players to come up there and play hard and work hard, but when it comes time to be compensated, it's like, 'We forgot what you've done.'"

While Walker is quite adamant about not sticking around in Green Bay for the final year of his contract -- whether Favre returns or not -- he promises not to be a disruption next season, because he doesn't plan to show up at all for training camp.

"If I had to go back there, I'd retire," he said. "I don't have to play."

The rift is so deep and his animosity toward Favre so great that, Walker said, he is even willing if necessary to repay the Packers the prorated portion of his signing bonus, which amounts to around $850,000.

Javon Walker told ESPN.com that he has informed the Packers of his desire to play elsewhere, and his agent has asked the team to deal the wide receiver or allow him to pursue trade options.

    -----------------------------------------------------

Ok, so obviously we know he complained about his contract. But if it came down to it, I would take Jevon Walker over Eric Moulds, hands down.

As for compensation, I'm guessing GB would demand a 2nd round pick. I wouldnt give up this year's 2nd rounder, but I would probally give up a 2nd rounder for the 2007 draft. I would definetly give up one of our 3rd rounders, but I highly doubt the Packers would take that. I'm sure plenty of teams will be interested in the young receiver...

I'd trade our 2nd for Walker...and still keep Moulds for one year.

No! This year's 2nd round is one of the strongest ever and no player deserves that kind of consideration.

On the other hand, it's wise start thinking that Moulds will finish his career in blue, red and white...

One could argue that the player we draft deserved the consideration. I'd argue that Javon Walker is a known entity, and his kind of production for 5 years would be a well-used 2nd round pick, IMO.

Something like week 2 I think. The guy could play right now if needed.

Walker, who underwent surgery Oct. 7 in Houston, says his rehab at Florida State (his alma mater) is going as planned. He's sprinting and should be ready to go by training camp -- for some other team, he hopes

I'd feel better about a trade if it said he will be ready, not should be ready.

Whats up with these handicapped players (recovering from bad injuries) demanding trades??

They basically got a whole year paid for last year when sitting on the bench rehabbing.

Id trade a 3rd this year and conditional next based on preformance with escalators to make it as high as a 2nd. Id throw them Sam Aiken to so the deal gets done.

I would love to have Jevon Walker, but i'm not sure the bills would trade for him. I could see a team like the fins making a trade for him.
