Great signing and him away from the Patsies is good for us, although Id prefer he be here.

Givens would have been a great replacement for Moulds, who may or may not be cut...

I agree with you...they also signed a punter. I know, who really cares, but it shows they were ready.

Fri, 10 Mar 2006 22:20:03 -0800
Mike Reiss, of the Boston Globe, reports the Miami Dolphins (http://www.kffl.com/team/22/nfl) have arranged a visit with free agent WR David Givens (http://www.kffl.com/player/5766/nfl) (Patriots) for Saturday, March 11. Apparently, earlier reports of Givens signing with the Cleveland Browns (http://www.kffl.com/team/13/nfl) were premature.

If it comes down to a bidding war Miami will lose.

Who cares. Quite frankly, David Givens is not that good. Lets see how he does without Brady at QB. David Patten did real well with the Redskins last year (sike).

Browns made him mad I guess:idunno:

Givens and taken away: The first weird free-agency report of the night came from Cleveland, when the team's Web site reportedly signed Patriots wide receiver David Givens (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=6115) and Ravens punter Dave Zastudil (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5998). The only problem was it wasn't true.

Now, Given's isn't even going to visit Cleveland. Givens will be in Miami Saturday and will go to the Houston Texans (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=hou) on Sunday. The price tag for Givens went up above where the Browns wanted to pay.

Givens' agent, Brad Blank, theorized that someone hacked into the Browns' computer, which is what accounted for the mistake.

If he went above what the Browns wanted to pay, he won"t be in Miami for sure
