4 years at 10 million
Can't believe we signed a 3rd string TE for more than this!!!

4 years at 10 million works out to more than 5 years at 10 million.

Mistake on my part regarding signing Royal for more. Nevertheless, the deals are likely similar, yet we didn't do them. Cleveland still has a TON of money to spend and can still go out and get top quality players. What are they doing at One Bills Drive???

Man that makes this deal look horrible.
The Royal deal is bad enough, but thats all it took to sign Joe J.???
**** this man.

Yeah but on the other hand, I'm glad Joe J signed with the Browns instead of the Pats. :whew:

Joe was the PERFECT fit as a NO. 2 receiver for Buffalo to work with Evans..
and as it turns out, it only cost the Browns $2 million per. I thought for sure he'd be $3-3.5 per at least..
Meanwhile we sign a backup TE for ballpark the same money.
I'm so disgusted with Marv right now I cant type anymore

I dont understand why everyone wanted Joe J, yea he had a good year but remember you are talking about a guy who has an injury history, I dont see not signing him as a big loss

Great hands, big tall fearless reciever, great work/team ethic.....absolute perfect compliment to evans.
I thought for sure if anyone was a "Marv guy" it would be him.
very dissapointing day.

2 years in Tampa he was a little injury prone, prior to that he was all good, and he didnt miss a game last season.

but he will be 32 entering next season so a 4 year deal is a bit too long for a aWR especially not a top flight WR, he is good really a good # 3 WR but at 32 is getting a little old in this league, besides maybe a couple of OL I dont expect you will see the Bills sign any players over the age of 30

He proved last season he could be a number 2 guy.

True.. and Eric Moulds is 32 and has a $10.8 million cap figure. apparently marv feels Moulds is about $7-8 million better than Joe J.

Marv didnt negotiate that deal, he is trying to reduce taht hit and Moulds is much better than Joe J at this point you are probably gonna see Moulds in a Bills uniform this year

The Bills have Moulds and Evans under contract. I didn't know we needed another WR. Im more concerned about DT,DT,OL.

I think one DT will be drafted in the 1st Rd and they sign one, as for OL Iwould think Preston will start, They draft a G in the 2nd or 3rd Rd and sign a RT and move Peters to LT and either Gandy or the rookie start at G with Chris V
If that happens it is an improvement over last year
