Bills have signed Tripplet. Another poster said 'VCOACH' but you gotta say so and so signed
Tripplet a Bill.

Re: Tripplet a Bill.
Good move.
I wonder if they will try to sign another FA DT or will go for one in the draft....
Marv Levy's comment about the kind of DT that they need to go with Tripplet--a big run stuffer who still has the speed to move down the line--leaves open a number of possibilities. It will be interesting to see which way they choose to go here. They may still be looking at adding two more DTs--a rookie and a vet--depending on how they see Anderson, Sape and, perhaps, Bannan fitting into their system, but might go with a cheaper alternative, a role-player, as the second vet.
Anyone know what kind of contract numbers Tripplet got? Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.

Re: Tripplet a Bill.
I just spent the past hour on various Indy message boards.
The consensus I'm getting from there was Triplett has been an underachiever who stepped it up big time in 2005 and finally played up to this potential. Coincidentally, it was a contract year.. They also suggest he greatly benefitted playing next to Freeney.
Some of these points are valid I'm sure.. But it's also probably a lot of sour milk going on when you lose a key player on your team... He was expendable to Indy because they have great depth on the line.. But obviously to Buffalo he's quite the score.

Re: Tripplet a Bill.
Royal, who spent the past four seasons with Washington, agreed to a reported five-year, $10 million contract that includes a $2.5 million bonus. Tripplett, who spent the last four seasons with Indianapolis, signed a five-year, $18 million contract that included a $5.5 million signing bonus

that means he probably counts $2 mil against cap and Royal $1 mil against cap thats pretty good job
