Pat I really like your recap and you did a great job...

But one thing...Robert Royal was not a backup TE ... he started 29 out of the past 36 games for the Redskins, and if you go to the skins website and read what they wrote about Royal, Gibbs really liked the guy and loved his blocking abilities...

First he stole LeCharles Bentley, considered by many the best free agent in the pool under from Philadelphia.

Dude's getting 19mil over the first three years of the contract according to some. I wouldn't call that a steal.

$10 million to a tight end who had 14 catches last season is not the way you want to kick off the free agency bonanza.

He's a blocker, not a receiver. Buffalo just upgraded their offensive line, cheaply.

Nice article, though, pat...I've enjoyed reading all of them the last few days so thanks for the links. :D

Drew Brees was expected to sign with Miami today but is now in New Orleans and may receive an offer too good to refuse.

He was in NO but is now in Miami... other than that, nice article!

Kind of confusing but Pat was pretty much right.

He was in Alabama today where Miami officials flew in to meet with him and talk contract.

He was then supposed to go to New Orleans on Saturday afternoon to meet with New Orleans officials.

He also did have a visit to Miami scheduled for Sunday but Im not sure how todays meeting affected that.

I hope he ends up in MIami.. Culpepper scares me a lot more than Brees does

Not me. I at least know that Culpepper won't be playing in '06. If ever. Brees will be ready to go before September.

Miami is finally getting a QB!! If Brees plays liked he did for the last 2 season, Miami is a 11-5+ team, imo.
