In my opinion not even close to being worth this.

Redskins | Contract update: A. Randle El
Sun, 12 Mar 2006 14:01:07 -0800

ESPN.com reports Washington Redskins WR Antwaan Randle El agreed to a six-year, $31 million deal to join the Redskins, a source familiar with the negotiations told ESPN.com's Michael Smith. The deal includes $10 million in bonuses.

Welcome to BLo Andre Davis.

I mean this is pretty close to top tier receiver money, and while exciting and talented lets not kid ourselves, Antwaan Randle El isnt even close to a Top Tier WR.

Horrible contract for someone who is going to be their third receiver.

I agree, how is washington still under the cap, i hate them so much, no sense of value for a player. Ill take Andre Davis, over this deal.

Davis @ 1.3M$ for a year looks better by the minute!
(According to Clayton, 800,000$ base salary/500,000$ sb)

Ritchie f**king Rich throwing his money around again? Although NOBODY thought Santana Moss was worth that kind of cheese either. Whose laughing now?

That is not exactly true, Moss was coming off one really nice year, and a pretty good one.

But I see your point. But I think with Santanna Moss and now Brandon Lloyd to throw this kind of money at a number three is ridiculous.

Still. The point here is that the author of the thread says that Randle EL is not even CLOSE to being worth that kind of money and I don't think he is as average as some of you seem to think.

It seems that Washington Redskins are really confident. They still think that any NFL player can be easily intimidated as they did with LaVar Arrington or succesfully traded as they did with the Jets (Moss-Coles)

Its not just what he does as a WR though that makes him so dangerous. The guy is one of the better PR guys in the league and can play a number of positions if you need him to, and he seems to be a great team guy on top of all that.

I'd take him, not at that price but Id take him.
