Says JP has been back in Buffalo about 3 weeks now. Has a haircut, seems to be upbeat about the upcoming season.

I would be upbeat too knowing that the TD era is finished.

Let's hope he keeps the hair short and gets serious about this. I don't need any long-haired hippies as my signal-caller.

That's exactly what I want. Kick Holcomb's ass in mini-camps and training camp. Earn that starting job and play the best you have ever played before.

Spoken like a true kid. Yeah come back pissed off. Lose focus, get frustrated, miss open WR's. How did playing pissed off work for him last year?

How about he come back much more cerebral about the position. Exude confidence and calm in the huddle so his teammates have faith in him?

I have no problem with a fire in his belly, but it seems to me he would be better served keeping his mouth shut, and performing better. Let his play do the talking.

You've obviously never played a down in your life. If your not playing pissed off then you shouldnt be playing.

Actually, he did best when he was pissed off. He admitted it himself.

I'm guessing it all depends on how you channel the anger. I'm sure anger can be formed into an excellent form of motivation, but at the same time it could also probably cloud a player's mind and cause a hindering in performance...

She asks me why
I'm just a hairy guy
I'm hairy noon and night
Hair that's a fright
I'm hairy high and low
Don't ask me why
Don't know
It's not for lack of break
Like the Grateful Dead
Darling

Gimme head with hair
Long beautiful hair
Shining, gleaming,
Streaming, flaxen, waxen

Give me down to there hair
Shoulder length or longer
Here baby, there mama
Everywhere daddy daddy

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair

Let it fly in the breeze
And get caught in the trees
Give a home to the fleas in my hair
A home for fleas
A hive for bees
A nest for birds
There ain't no words
For the beauty, the splendor, the wonder
Of my...

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair

I want it long, straight, curly, fuzzy
Snaggy, shaggy, ratty, matty
Oily, greasy, fleecy
Shining, gleaming, streaming
Flaxen, waxen
Knotted, polka-dotted
Twisted, beaded, braided
Powdered, flowered, and confettied
Bangled, tangled, spangled, and spaghettied!

Oh say can you see
My eyes if you can
Then my hair's too short

Down to here
Down to there
Down to where
It stops by itself

They'll be ga ga at the go go
When they see me in my toga
My toga made of blond
Brilliantined
Biblical hair

My hair like Jesus wore it
Hallelujah I adore it
Hallelujah Mary loved her son
Why don't my mother love me?

Hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair
Flow it, show it
Long as God can grow it
My hair

Exactly. I remember JP saying screw it last year and 'Let er' rip'. Well he did that, and missed wide open WR's. He needs to always have that fire in his belly to WIN, but be more cerebral about it.

And held the ball too long, missed open WR's etc. If the kid has to get pissed to play QB then maybe he isn't the guy for us.

I don't care what he does with his hair, I just want to see him focused, and I want to see our lockerroom rally behind him.
