I don't think he did. And I didn't hear of anyone else in town. And if Pickett came, why didn't he do a PC like the other 3 on his way out?

Nope. They're talking on the local news like it could happen tomorrow (Tuesday).

I think the chances of pickett signing with us improve because of kollar and fewell.

The possible landing spots for Pickett are drying up quickly, with several interested teams signing other defensive tackles over the weekend – including the Buffalo Bills (http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/teams/buf/), Browns and Cardinals. That leaves two teams still in the running: the Packers and Giants. Pickett visited with the Packers on Sunday and is expected to make a trip to New York some time this week.

I'd be shocked if Green Bay didnt sign him.. I would LOVE if Buffalo signed him if that falls through.. And I dont buy into that Kollar crap either, its about who's gonna give him more money..

Len Pas from ESPN was on WGR this morning and said Buffalo would be VERY SMART to get Pickett on this team, that's he becoming that good of a player.. That would make the DL a hell lot more formidable.

I dont see the Giants being able to afford him after Madison and McQaurters but the Skins proved that crap doesnt matter anymore.

Bills | Pickett heads to Buffalo
Mon, 13 Mar 2006 22:13:10 -0800
Bob McGinn, of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, reports free agent DL <A href="http://www.kffl.com/player/1747/nfl">Ryan Pickett (Rams) left Green Bay Monday, March 13, and was headed to Buffalo to meet with the Buffalo Bills (http://www.kffl.com/team/9/nfl). The Bills (http://www.kffl.com/team/9/nfl) new defensive line coach Bill Kollar served as Pickett's position coach for five years with the St. Louis Rams (http://www.kffl.com/team/34/nfl).

This mornings Buff News said 2 players are due in Tuesday but wouldn't give names. Pickett looks to be one of them.

Yahoo sports appears to be clueless. Buffalo already needed one good DT at the start of the offseason. The departure of Sam Adams meant they needed two. Signing Tripplett only goes halfway toward meeting their need.

Yes, but they did little pc's about their visits before they were signed. We have done that the last couple of years.

I heard Green Bay and Pickett were very far apart in negotiations - which needless to say, looks really good for us.

There was some talk that both GB and SF have really screwed up ways of doing FA. Something like a value chart for each position or some crap? That will get you nowhere fast in the NFL these days.

San Fran does have a value chart. They run their organization from a "Moneyball" philosophy, if you are familiar with baseball it makes sense.

They assign value to positions and players, and refuse to budge if the price goes higher than that. Fiscal responsibility is a big thing for them.

Yep and they suck in the process. I agree to a certain extent with moneyball, but there are exceptions. If the market dicates ALL good quality players at certain positions are higher than your allotment, you need to adjust to the market.

I guess OverRated LTs were a high value position to them...
