Illegal Lateral

For what it's worth (and I haven't put this in print until now):

I had a unique perspective because I went down to the field at the 2-minute warning. I just happened to be standing at the Titans 25-yard line - directly across from Kevin Dyson. I was so close that I could have caught Wycheck's pass (on the first bounce, anyway).

At the time, I thought the play was illegal. It looked like much more of a "parallel" than a "lateral" to me.

NFL Rules state that a forward pass is "a pass that does not go backward."

If it were 100% parallel, it should be deeemd illegal, since it didn't go backward.

And to think, until the Bills get back into the playoffs, that's the last play they had in the postseason.
