Three things. 1) he gets to compete and be the #1 guy and 2) it means harrington will be on the trade market soon. 3) he wasn't going to get to compete here.

Mark my words, this guy will start in Detroit and he will make a difference in that offense!
I don't understand how some people are getting so upset about a backup qb coming here.

he's a whole nother story.
he needs a change of scenery. he could be a decent QB, but hopefully not here.

Yeah he will do what no other QB can do....block for himself. Oh and play defense as well.
