New Salary numbers for many Buffalo Bills

As part of the new CBA, many of the base salaries for players making the minimum salary in accordance with their year of service went up $40,000 per year. I am sure that Clump will have an update soon as to how much the Bills have under the cap and an explanation as to who was affected and why.

Here are some of the affected players and their new base salaries. Each is an increase of $40K. The increases of 16 players directly impacts the cap to the tune of $640,000 in cap room. Note: not all of the players count against the cap because of the Top 51 rule.

Washington restructured alot of contracts for one. For two they are paying bonus' all up front with low base salary. I believe thats what I read somewhere. So the bonus is spread out with low base salarys.

I'd evaluate them as the following:

Mark Word DE $500,000 - don't know his ability
Tim Anderson DT $425,000 - just might get cut if there is no improvement, but might be okay as backup.
J.P. Losman QB $425,000 - should remain, as you say
Tim Euhus TE $425,000 - Should definitely NOT be cut! Has showed alot of potential!
Dylan McFarland T $425,000 - I thought he was better than Jerman last year! Here's hoping he knocks him out of the roster during TC!!!
Rashad Baker S $425,000 - May become our starting SS! Is fantastically cheap for what he has to offer...definitely do NOT cut!
Luvale Sape DT $425,000 - needs to improve or get cut
Jason Thomas OL $425,000 - don't know his abilities
Troy Woodbury QB $425,000 - good on ST, but needs to improve in other areas.
