Fri, 17 Mar 2006 15:39:00 -0800
Gregg Pastore, of <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/124">BuffaloBills.com, reports the Buffalo Bills (http://www.kffl.com/team/9/nfl) have tendered an offer sheet to restricted free agent OL Reggie Wells (http://www.kffl.com/player/6162/nfl) (Cardinals). The Arizona Cardinals (http://www.kffl.com/team/6/nfl) have the right to match the offer and retain Wells. Should Arizona elect to not match the offer, the Cardinals (http://www.kffl.com/team/6/nfl) will be compensated with a 2006 sixth-round draft choice.

I'm pretty sure it is a week. As if I remember right, that is the amount of time the 'Hawks have to match the Vikes offer for Hutch.

i will be really interested to see what kind of numbers they offered him. i imagine it is a bit higher than it maybe should be, just to pry him away..

but the kid sounds like he has all the potential, so i hope we get him.. it fills a big time need.

i kind of see him as we view jason peters..

i wonder why no one has come after him, by the way.

I do too. A 6th round pick is worth it. You can't dig up players that late in the draft with his potential and experience.

The problem is the Cards have a boatload of Cap space left and have stated they intend to match any Wells offer. Unless the Bills overpaid, like they did for Josh Reed, he's a Cardinal.

reeds numbers are close to the league minimum i am sure for the first few years.. why do you have an issue with that?

the league minimum now is just under a million.

and if they overpaid for a young kid who has shown a lot of potential that mcnally really likes.. so be it.. better than an old ass, never was like fabini.

And if they match it, they match it. We felt we needed to try.

Actually, I haven't complained once about any of the Bills moves this off-season. I just think Reed received too much and I'll still wait to see how the contract is actually drawn up.

I also thought we already had a #3 in Parrish. I see EVans and wonder who will start with him in a 2 WR set ? Unless we plan on going single back, 3 WR.

andre davis will be good enough to start as a number 2.. physically/talent wise there is no reason to think otherwise.. i am telling you.. i watched ever snap he took at virginia tech and saw a lot of him in cleveland.. he just needs to be healthy and he will make alot of people much happier than they expected.

and moulds is not cut yet.

Evans, Davis, then reed/ Parrish in the slot. We will go 3 wide. Tonka, Moulds is as good as gone with that contract given to Reed.

Davis has collective started 23 of his 48 career games. You know has 2 more starts than him? Josh Reed. Sad how bad your #2, #3, #4 are. Lee Evans is the only WR I'll ever call good on that roster.

The offer is five years, $17.6 million with a $3 million signing bonus and another $2 million in a guaranteed roster bonus.
