Brad Biggs, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports restricted free agent DL Israel Idonije (Bears) signed a four-year offer sheet believed to be worth $7.5 million, including a $1.6 million signing bonus with the Buffalo Bills. The Chicago Bears have a week to decide whether to match the offer and retain him. The Bears will not receive any draft-pick compensation should they not match the Bills' offer.

Is it me.. OR does this seem to be an awful lot of money for a player, UNLESS we plan on using him as our starting DT opposite Tripplett?? Maybe Ferrel sees this guy as athletic and a good fit as a starter. I have no problem with this contract offer, if thats the case.
I find it hard to fathom that this orginization can pay out a $1.6 million bonus and nearly two million a year for yet ANOTHER BACKUP.
If I'm correct .. Shows me that its no lock they are taking Ngata with that first pick..
But If I'm wrong and they are going to pay this much money to ANOTHER DEPTH/BACKUP/CHARACTER PLAYER..and then STILL draft a DT first when our OLINE is awful.. Then this restructured FO is a joke
