Kicker Adam Vinatieri — who kicked two game-winning field goals in Patriots Super Bowl wins, as well as another game-winning kick in an epic divisional playoff game against the Raiders — has signed with the Colts, Boston radio station WEEI is reporting.

That's hilarious!

No wait, it's uh.... all according to Belichick's new master plan. He has something up his sleeve. These players are out of gas. Uh, yeah that's it.

Wow, now that's gonna be weird...

This might force them to draft a kicker in the early rounds.

ESPN just reported the "agreement"...

I would imagine Vinatieri would've made the kick in that Steelers game. Good pick up for any team, especially good that he will be out of the AFCEast. Darn clutch kicker never choking lol.

they must have tossed some serious coin at him to get him to leave. how do you leave a city where you are a legend? i know, i know...

but think about the post-retirement endorsement opportunities he would have had in the boston area.

maybe the drunk liquored up idiot kicker will land in NE..

If he misses that kick in NE like he did in INDY by that much, they may hang him alive.

true, the people in NE are expecting greatness at this point.

what will the people in indy do if vinatieri misses one and vandy makes a clutch kick for his new team? mass suicide?

I read something earlier that Miami was bringing him in- it may have been a rumor but I'll post the link if I can find it again.

This is huge. The ramifications of V leaving NE could reverberate through out the locker room and affect every player's confidence.

I can't wait :D

good point. i hadn't thought of it, but who exactly is untouchable there? brady? probably, but who knows?

i would think that vinatieri should have been untouchable. he's a man who could likely bed down any woman in boston... with her husband's permission. it boggles my mind that the guy signed elsewhere.

Bills should go after Vanderjagt. This team could use the excitement and shenanegans a drunk kicker brings to the field.

Reportedly, the Pats have contacted Vanderjagt and Edinger.

I could deal with anyone but Vanderjagt. I hate the guy. I'd rather have Flutie take over the kicking duties.

I'd like to see them sign Todd Peterson as a stopgap. He is old and they would need a kickoff specialist, but he is a good K.

i hear you on vanderjagt, man. maybe belichick plans on bringing flutie back and having him drop-kick all the field goals and xp's? (j/k, btw)

I can't wait :D That only worked for 1 game when they let Milloy go.

true. i thought about that yesterday. how pumped up was everybody here after that (milloy bowl) game? if only you could bottle the feeling of that week... it must have been like the first miami-buffalo game after the signing of keith jackson. i was really stoked... for a few days.

seems like the patriots are suffering too many losses. i'm sure it's all part of some evil plan.
