Yes. Although there seems to be hundreds of GMs around here, Marv is the only one with the actual title.

Maybe we should compile a list of these armchair GMs so that we can say we knew them before they get actual jobs in the NFL and bring a mediocre team up into the upper echelons of greatness.

I'm 50-50. On one hand, TD left him with a damn train wreck and he's doing the best he can to pick up the salvagable pieces and create his own team.

On the other hand, some of his moves just don't make sense to me. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on Jauron, but the Josh Reed contract is just mind-numbing.

Agreed, although I'm NOT giving him the benefit of the doubt on DICK. Mark my words, he's gone in 3 years after his record is 18-30. There is just no justification for his hiring other than the occurence of a massive brain fart on Marv's part.

I would have liked Marv better as the coach and Modrak as the GM... If Mularkey got quit or fired the day donahoe did, it would have happened.

Modrak is a GM, the Assistant GM. He gives marv all the personel info and so does john guy. Overdorf does the contracts.

I trust Marv more than I should given his 0-4 SB record. I think he will get the Bills back on track. He has extensive experience, great knowledge of the game, and can manage people with the best of them.

I remember thinking the same thing a few years ago when Ralph first hired Marv to coach the Bills. I hope Marv does just a little bit better this time around and manages to win a big one.

I know you said no over officious jerking but I have to ask...

Can someone start a poll that asks whether or not Meathead conducts too many polls?
