Jets | Team makes offer to Runyan
Wed, 22 Mar 2006 20:38:06 -0800
Adam Caplan, of <A href="http://www.kffl.com/link/155">Pro Football News and Injury Report, reports the New York Jets (http://www.kffl.com/team/27/nfl) met with free agent OT Jon Runyan (http://www.kffl.com/player/1471/nfl) (Eagles) Wednesday, March 22, and made a contract offer to him. The two sides are expected to continue negotiations Thursday, March 23.

Good move for a team needing protection to a banged up QB.

so the guy broke down and met with someone? i thought he was going to sit around until someone offered him a contract? maybe his agent wised him up a little bit...

Id prefer to not see him in the AFC East.. Kelsay will need a sledge hammer to get around him.

well, i'm not sure about this, but maybe he meant he didn't want to travel to an interview. if the jets people showed up at his house, he'd prolly let them in and talk to them.

Runyan is strictly a RT, which suggests the Bills wish to keep Peters at RT and find someone else to push Gandy at LT.

Looks like we'll be drafting one within the first 3 rounds.

Oh horse crap. The man is OLD And has been injured. Damn man no offense but you greatly over value some guys. Runyon is good at best. Notice how philly a team that is retooling to make ANOTHER run hasn't even bothered with him?

And not only that, all this time and only the jets have this guy in?

I haven't really been keeping up with the Eagles, but have they been doing anything in FA? How are they retooling?

And isn't the Eagles always well under the cap? And just as cheap if not cheaper then Ralph Wilson?
