Ryan Denney is an okay backup and at times can really turn it up on STs. This signing doesn't upset me at all - and given that he hadn't gone anywhere else, I'm sure he came pretty cheap...I do wish he'd bulk up a bit more though...with his height, he could be a menace if he bulked up and still retained his level of speed...

Kind of odd he comes back the day after we fail to get Idonijie, no?

I agree he was the"plan b" if we didn't get idonijie. That wasn't my point. You make it seem like it was an awful backup plan. I was just asking if you had anyone else in mind we could have gotten?

Anyone who reminds me less of another UFA that we brought back from a 5-11 football team who was a Tom Donahoe draft choice and a fair share of the reason that are front four sucked so bad.

we have more depth than any team in the history of the NFL.

Larry Allen is going to end up in Seattle I think.. To take over for Hutch.

I think you always comment late to wait and see what the majority is before you comment..

Your like the confused person in the stands who either cheers or boo's, five seconds after everyone else.

I thought you understood football? Fowler starts. Bowen starts. Royal Starts. Tripplet starts. I am sincerely glad you have nothing to do with this org TD Jr.

I'm calling BS.

Fowler starts, Royal starts, Bowen starts and Reed catches at least 40 balls.

Funny thing is you're the one who questions someone elses' football knowledge, yet NONE of these guys started last year where they played and a few of them NEVER started in their careers.

Fowler-backed up Wohlbaugh in Cleveland, was supposed to inherit the reins, was so impressive Cleveland drafted Faine. Then they traded this world beater away to Minnesota, where he was only able to break the lineup when someone went down to injury.

Bowen-started for a few season in Washington, was so highly thought of that they drafted Sean Taylor to replace him!

Royals-Backup TE in Washington his whole career. His owner Dan Snyder throws money around like most of throw insults. Yet he wouldn't throw a couple million to keep this "talent" on his team. Same with Bowen on that actually.

Tripplett-Was a situational DT in INDY where he performed well, I'm not dissing this signing, I think it's the only good one so far.

Davis-Oft injured guy pushed out of Cleveland by such talents as Northcutt, Frisman Jackson and undrafted QB Joshua Cribbs who the Browns have turned into a returner. Returner being the basic use and purpose of Davis. Thought of so highly by the Patsies they let their roster go down to 2 wideouts in the offseason.

What we picked up this off-season were a bunch of backups, plain and simple. Depth is good, but when you rely on depth players to have to start then you run into problems. That was Pats' whole point, apparently not all can see it.

If they get starting jobs here, they're starters...plain and simple.

You'd think it was so obvious no one could miss it :idunno:

No one said they'd be great starters but most starters in the NFL were backups at one point. :idunno:
