The CRK's made a major acquisition today, trading ILB Al Wilson, DE Leonard Little and their 1st round rookie draft pick (10th overall) to the Golder Brewsers for DE Greg Spires, A 3rd round pick in the FA draft and the 1st ovetrall pick in the rookie draft.
It is rumoured that the CRK's have already contacted the agent for USC RB Reggie Bush and are laying the groundwork for a record setting contract.
With Jamal Lewis coming off a poor year, the CRK's were very concerned about their RB position. Especially with the current OL, which needs extensive rebuilding.
While giving up Al Wilson was a difficult decision to make, there may be opportunities to make the switch to the 3-4 yet if they can find another LB in the FA pool. They may also decide to stay in the 4-3 and track down an improvement at DT.
The entire city is abuzz with Reggie-mania right now, and many are planning to make the trip to the draft to cheer on the inevitable. The first #5 Bush jersey's are already appearing on the streets as the future of the franchise prepares for the draft.....
