All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Just saw it... Schefter said the Bills are unable to get the 4th round pick that is coveted... Moulds is to be released... Eagles and Texans are the favorites to sign him...
Go figure nobody will give up anything for an old, whining receiver who makes too much money! Those who couldn't see this one coming were blind to begin with. T.O. got nothing, yet Moulds was gonna get a 4? Hell I even saw people who said they should get a 1 or 2. Not surprisingly, not in the least.
If hes under contract, why cant we just hold on to him? How did we get something for Travis Henry but wont be able to get anything for moulds? I know theres an age and money difference with the 2, but both situations are similar. Can someone please explain why we would cut the guy if hes under contract and we still have cap room? Is this just Buffalo not wanting to pony up the money? Is he really gonna make that much more any place else?...somebody.....please....

He IS under contract and I DO hope we hold on to him for two reasons
1) It's going to get funny hearing his "personal adviser" in the press.
2) Even if we save his cap money, Ralph isnt going to spend it.
And wasn't there just a post that had a link to an article that said talks with the texans and Moulds agent went really well? If texans offer up say the first pick in the 5th round or 6th or hell even 7th, Marv isnt going to cut moulds just because he can't get a 4th for the guy.
There is absolutely no reason for the Bills to release Moulds at this point. If the Bills don't need the money that they have tied up in him to sign free agents yet, they can hold onto him until one of those teams becomes desperate enough to give up something for him.
If Moulds' agents/advisors are correct about there being 3-4 teams interested in him, the Bills should know that they will try to get him as cheaply as they can and will try wait until the Bills release him. If the Bills release Moulds, they are only doing those teams a favor, but, if they hold onto Moulds and make them believe that the Bills are willing to hold onto him as long as it takes to get someone to give them something for him, sooner or later one of those teams is going to get nervous and want to make sure that they can secure his services. Just as with Travis Henry, you don't fold your hand because the player is unhappy and other teams won't give you what you want--you hold onto the player until some team finally offers you something reasonable.
A fourth round pick at this stage is probably reasonable, especially if it is from Houston. If the Bills hold onto Moulds, one of the teams that is interested in him will probably be willing to give up that much to get him, although it may not be a team that Moulds will want to go to necessarily (like KC). There are too many teams that could really use a Moulds for the Bills to fold their hand and this point.
Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. And, thus it was that they surrendered their freedom; not with a bang, but without even a whimper.

Will you please stop with the stupid, asinine, often disproven, innaccurate, incorrect statements of Ralph's 'cheapness'. How many times to I (or somebody else) have to prove you wrong abotuRalph spending money on players?

He will never get it doc. He is on a crusade. He won't stop until he is booted. Oh and you forgot to add the big bonus paid to Mike Williams when he was drafted.
