Patriots | Bills would trade them Moulds – for the right price
Tue, 28 Mar 2006 07:11:46 -0800
John Tomase, of the Boston Herald, reports <A href="http://www.kffl.com/team/9/nfl">Buffalo Bills general manager Marv Levy said he would be willing to trade WR Eric Moulds (http://www.kffl.com/player/224/nfl) to the New England Patriots (http://www.kffl.com/team/24/nfl) – for the right price. "It depends on what the compensation would be," Levy said at the NFL (http://www.kffl.com/team/77/nfl) owners' meetings Monday, March 27. "We would talk to them, of course. We'd talk about it. We wouldn't rule them out." The Bills (http://www.kffl.com/team/9/nfl) are believed to be seeking a fourth-round pick or higher, but Levy said that had yet to be determined. "We don't have a hard and fast price," Levy said. "We're still talking. I'll treat that situation as it develops, because it's a big decision."

marv must be a closet pats fan...

No, what Marv meant is "if NE really wants Moulds they'd have to fork up a 2nd rounder at the very least. ****** Pats."

I'd say at least their 2nd rounder this year and a 3rd rounder next. Let's take them the way they took us...

I think it's more along the lines of Marv realizing that not many teams are really interested and able to trade for Moulds. So instead of letting Moulds go for nothing, he'd rather get something for him. Remember the Pats would have just as much chance at getting Moulds as any other team if he's outright released.

Both Philly and Houston are VERY interested in Moulds. We'll get something, may not be a 4th, but something.

yeah moulds and his rep screwed you guys pretty bad with the way they've handled this situation. when they make statements like "we're asking for an outright release" and "eric doesn't want to play for the bills anymore, and will not play for the bills" it really destroys any trade value he had.

marv will end up taking what he can get for him.. Whether its NE or not.. Remember folks, this is a rebuilding team, I'm not sure marv is concerned with what the Pats do for the next 1-2 years, which is about the years of quality Moulds has left.

I STILL wish we could find a way to keep him, but that obviously isn't going to happen.

Why can't we just trade Emo to the Pack for Walker...?

Moulds will be a texan in about 48 hours or less. His 'personal advisor' has said NE is out of it because Philly or Texas will have him within that time.
