After reading todays Buffalo news article i admit i was surprised . I thought Ngata was the perfect for the bills. OOPS .. I love the guy but if it's quick penetrating DT'S we seek then he is not the guy. As written on this board by some Bunkley wopuld fit the bills better. Just is he a top ten pick. I think he is , but i would look else where if i was drafting.

With that in mind who should be selected at 8.. Vernon davis .....NO....Yes he is a great player... But we need more .. I would either trade up for Brick or williams or trade down for TWO PICKS. THE BEST PICK MAY BE DAVIS AT 8.. I wouldn't cry if we took him. I would if we took Chad grenway....ok now so who do we get to fill the middle if we pass on bunkley and ngata ?

Remember these four names....

1.John Mccargo-6-1-302...one gap guy.. was hurt...

2. Jessie Mahelona-6-0-312...

3. Jonathan Lewis-6-1.5-310...

4.Montavious Stanley-6-2- 313..

Mcargo or lewis would be my first choices....Mccargo is a rd 2 guy while lewis could go 2 or 3...

Agreed. I would like to see us draft McCargo if a DT isn't selected in the 1st round.

Scott Wright of Countdown is just a guy with a website.

Ourlads, actual Scouts and Coaches, on Bunkley at Indy - Only practiced two days...got hurt during the week...didn't look real athletic...movements in drills were herky jerky, not a smooth guy, good energy competitor, has some power and was disruptive against the run.Not a great pass rusher..2nd or 3rd round guy.

There are two things that make me skeptical of the Bills going DT in round 1. 1- Bunkley has had character issues in the past and Marv talked about the only time him and Bill Polian differed on a round 1 pick was his first year here. Polian really wanted someone else who was much higher rated but had character issues (I believe it was Jerome Brown) but Marv did not want him because of the character issues. They selected Shane Conlan instead. Second is in the recent article in the Buffalo News about Ngata and how Marv said he saw a report recently how most DTs in the league were not first rounds picks and many successful DTs like Pat Williams were drafted late or not at all.

NT, Ourlads is wrong. I watched the guy on NFLN at the combine. Mike Mayock who I really respect was very impressed. So was butch Davis. Then Bunkley kicked butt at his proday putting up a shuttle run in WR time!

He is a bulky player due to the muscle he carries. He looks blocky, but moves very well.

I will say this though....who knows? Everyone had Ngata as our pick starting after the probowl. Who says Ngata or Bunkley are even the top 2 DT's on our board? We dont' know how this will go down.

Personally I hope we can drop a spot or two and pickup another 2nd round pick.

You skipped 2 names that are better than the list you mentioned.

Orien Harris- Liekly there in the 2nd.
Claude Wroten- off field crap makes his stock drop, but hes the best or 2nd best DT in the whole damn draft to me.

BTW, any team thats 29th in O and 29th in D, can take just about anyone at 8, and the next Antonio Gates would fill a helluva alot of void after Moulds departs.

I think its likely to be Mike Huff or Vernon Davis.

Some Day two sleepers: Barry Cofield 6'4" 304 and Kedrick Golston 6'4" 300. There's also Dustry Dvoracek 6'2.5 306 in the third round.

V. Davis would be the best REALISTIC first rounder we can get (Hawk, mario and brick gone)..

and either Wroten or Lewis would be a great second round DT

Best guard and tackle with our third round picks.. Guard takes Bennie's spot and we live with Gandy for another year while the tackle learns how to play in the NFL..

pretty simple, and yet successful. That would be a GOOD draft.

Harris is a underacheiver.....Not the type of player for our defense

Wroten does seem like the type .. But too many off field problems..we won't touch him....

Cofield is not the type of guy for our def also...

I used The countdown site as a reference point...I have seen bunkley play and he is worthy of a 1st rd pick...... top 15 not top 10 ....
