We all know that Mike Sherman was very interested in JP Losman and loved the kid. It appears that Marv doesn't. Maybe this is the big reason why Dick Jauron was hired and Mike Sherman wasn't?
Maybe this is why Marv chose to hire Jauron....

I think it will just further the perception of the Bills as a dysfunctional franchise on the road to nowhere in regards to how the nation feels about us.
BTW, I don't give a crap about what the world thinks about us. Why are you so worried about it?

Because I've always taken pride in being from WNY and when I talk to various friends all over the country I enjoy being included on good football team conversations and not laughed at because I'm a Bills guy.
And is that your new excuse now, TD this and TD that? Guess what, this is Marv's team now.. IF he thought so ****ty of TD then why did we resign like 80% of the Free agents we had that TD drafted?

I'm sure BZ would be happy
Not all the players TD hired were crappy. Another thing, the qb is the most important position. Maybe MArv didn't want to screw that up.

In a way Pat does have a point with perception of other places of the football world towards us. These other places have players who's contracts are to expire, have GMs who look at our GM, etc. If we're viewed as a laughing stock, what "name" free agent is going to want to come here and be part of what could be viewed as "the worst franchise in the nfl?" What GM is going to try and deal with the brass here without completely trying to fleece us thinking our organization is joke? What top rookie is going to want to come here and sign a contract? Much like the Eli Manning/Archie SD Chargers BS. Or Elway back in the day with Baltimore. Or Bo Jackson and the Bucs.
So yes, unfortunately, perception is something to worry about when it comes to this team building for future success.

I can name you about a million or more reasons per year Dick Jauron was chosen ahead of Sherman.
Seriously Pat, if you think that $$ was the only reason you really are missing something.
If Sherman was so great, please tell me the name of the team that hired him as HC.Originally posted by mysticsotoLecter is right in everything he said.
