The Associated Press reports the New York Jets have selected Florham Park, N.J., as their site for a new training facility and corporate headquarters. The move is expected to generate more than $10 million each year in new taxes for New Jersey, according to the Jets.

I guess they couldn't find a big enough pile of **** in Queens to demolish... god knows they had about 500 different sites to choose from.

The fact that this team continually creates revenue for Jersey, yet is labeled a New York team, is beyond me.

I'm calling them the Jersey Jets from this day forward, and may actually even start selling merchandise.

It's because everything in the tri-state area has to be claimed as "NYC"...

City folk bash Jersey to no end... but when something that is suppossedly "New York" sits on their property it's all good. Bad mouth and treat everyone like crap until you need something, then they're your best friend.

Typical practice in these parts.

You don't have to pay taxes- it says Jersey gets the tax revenue from the team.

The New York refers to the city not the state just like Washington's team refers to the city even though they are no longer in the city.

Yo, watch it with the Jersey jokes. You just don't know...Think what you want, all that crap that you hear isn't true, I'm just glad people like you stay out. The only bad part, as in maybe smelly or non good scenery is the turnpike, but there's so much more to Jersey. Anyone who knocks us for having some factories on I95 is just ignorant...

That's not true, considering they are situated close to Wilmington and Philadelphia as well.

The image problem we have Fitch is the area around the airport and the stadiums is a mess and that is al most people see.

I know exactly that that's all people see, and that's why I say to talk bad about Jersey is ignorance, and I stand by that completely.

northwestern Jersey is very nice...

and they are called by the NY moniker because if they dropped it a lot of N'yawkers wouldn't follow the teams anymore.
