Fortifying a position that represented one of their biggest needs, the Cincinnati Bengals (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=cin) on Thursday night reached a contract agreement in principle with unrestricted free-agent defensive tackle Sam Adams (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=2825), who played the past three seasons with the Buffalo Bills (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=buf).

TKO has been a great addition to the Bills and vice versa, but it's funny that he wanted out because the ship was sinking, now the Bengals get seriously discussed about in regards to playoffs and beyond. Corey Dillon jumped ship and had success, maybe TKO will as will, who knows.

Short memories. As bad as the Bills have been, we beat Cinci at their stadium the last 2 seasons.

Marvin Lewis is no game day genius by any stretch.

That is a huge signing for the Bengals. With Thorton, Askew, and Robinson (assuming they keep all of them) that will allow Adams to rotate and be fresh.

Even at his age, he could be a difference maker on an already solid team.
