Do you suppose it's possible marv has plans to shop clements around and draft huff to take his place?

Very possible....marv seem to be tearing down the whole thing to make it his own.

There might be one or two teams in the top of the second looking for CB's.....maybe this year second next year 1or 2nd.

I like Nate but right now..he would garner both good value...and not take up need resources.

Anything is possible this year....

I thought Huff was a Safety- nate's a corner. Typically corners need to be faster than safeties so that could be an issue.

It's always possible that there's some misdirection going on, but Marv spoke very highly of Nate when he was franchised.

Huff can play safety and corner according to his scouting report.

I believe that Huff has been forcasted as either a safety OR a cornerback.

well that changes things a little.

Off-season is an odd time of year. First it was a given that we were taking Ngata. Now his stock has dropped, so then it was Vernon Davis for a few days. Then the JP rumors started and we're taking Vince Young. Now, Huff's name is everywhere. Also I remember hearing Bunkley, Justice and that other OT being tossed around a lot.

Conclusion: after having this discussion since the bowl games ended, no one on this board has any idea what's gonna happen on draft day.

So then you must know if clements is going to be traded?

I do and it wont happen

it doesnt make sense. Why draft a guy who just had the season of his life at S and make him play CB so instead of having one hole to fill at SS, now we may have 2, depending on the time it would take Huff to not only readjust to CB but also to the NFL speed. We pick Huff he'll play SS. No question about it.

Huff can definately play CB. If they have been trying to hammer out a deal with nate and he says he won't budge from 7 + Mill per year, then yeah shop him around.

I will say I would be pissed if we used him to move up combined with our first round pick. I think someone below us would just hand over a 1st for nate.

Who? Denver maybe? But I cant think of many teams in that bad a need for a CB right now. Maybe Jacksonville also but Im just guessing at it, Ive seen nothing reported to any extent. Have you?

Because we signed our other starting safety, Bowen, this offseason. We pick huff and we are screwed on the lines....again....like for the last decade. But hey, it will make the madden crew happy. At least until teams laugh at all of our secondary power because they are running for 200 yards on us AND we can't do anything on offense to combat it.

But hey, make sure we draft a safety.

I am starting to think maybe moving the Bills is the best thing because the fans are really lost.

Again with the same banter of we signed our starting S in YOUR OPINION! You've been asked countless times to provide the link to the DC's comment on it, and your response is that its been erased from the article like it never existed. Im glad you see it as 1 pick screws the lines. Lemme ask you a quick question how far do you think the DB's play off the line in a Cover 2 D, bc according to your prophecy of 200 yards a game running they damn well better be playing 35 yards off bc in case you unaware DB's esp S (like Huff) make huge contributions in run defense. Your comments are out of left field and quote texts that never existed and claim them to have once. Its an old game and everybody has caught on. Its the same thing you said to T about Justice playing LT and that its been said by the experts but could not name 1 and your only response was to "go look it up yourself" why is that? Does it take too long to write out a name like Mel Kiper Jr? Or a publication like Sporting News Draft Guide? or ESPN Draft Guide? Or maybe just maybe you got caught again spouting off at the mouth and instead of just admitting up to it like a man and eating crow you continue to try and dig deeper and deeper to get out from under it and it wont work. You've already been caught too many times, and Ice you can easily prove me wrong, just provide me with a link thats all I need...Im waiting...

This is exactly(BELOW) what a team like the Bills could hope for...let everyone think they could go any direction. Anybody yet available that a
team covets will be worried
that player wont last so they offer up a trade...if marv plays it right.....they could trade down twice and still get the player (Bills) want.

Ice I feel your pain..we have endured years (10?) with out
a true fortification of the OLINE. We also need to
stop the run...and rush the passer better.
As I posted before
BAP strategy has work well
in the past. I would not worry because I don't feel Huff will
be BPA at our pick. SS is also
a position that is easier to fill
in the draft then LT. Heck there are converted LB's that make that transition well.

This HAS to be a great draft
for us. I just don't think Justice is that guy. Honestly
I dont see how they pass on Nagata...system or not he need 2-3 bodies on him...
that has got to be good
for both a pass rush and the 31 ranked RUN defense in the NFL. If he is gone MARV may
say the next 4 guys when he picks are not from a need
position...so then what?

Hopfully we trade down..

after a trade down.... if Justice is there and high on the BILLS board go for it...but there are 2-4 possible starting LT in this draft....let the other teams panic.....and let the draft and players come to us......

Why subtract?

Huff is insurance if Clements leaves, but I think Huff is more of a replacement for Vincent

He was around back in Marv's day when he was the Head Coach so I'd guess so :idunno: He gave Berman the news that we were gonna draft Thurman

Please trade down!! I hate this #8 spot and we don't need Huff. Clements is a proven starter. Look at how great Pac Man turned out!!!

Wait a minute!! Wouldn't Huff be Vincent's replacement. If so I would take him!! This has to be Vincent's last year!!

At this point, huff is a good pick because he can play two positions. Versatility is always good.
