    Bills Sign CB Turner

    Bills Sign Veteran CB
By Chris Brown - Tuesday, February 4, 2003

Buffalo, NY (WGR 55) - WGR Sportsradio confirmed Monday that the Bills signed veteran cornerback Scott Turner to a one-year contract that will pay him the veteran minimum base salary of $655 thousand. Turner actually signed with the team back on January tenth, but it was not formally announced by the team until Tuesday.

Turner was a seventh round draft pick of the Washington Redskins in 1995 out of Illinois. The 5'10" 180 pounder will turn 31 later this month, and last played for the Chargers.

Turner is viewed as veteran depth for a roster that may not have Chris Watson on it next season, nor Jason Bostic who is rehabbing from ACL and LCL knee surgery.

    Bye-Bye Chris!
    See me here pushing you
If I then deny I do
    Contemplate or wish away
If I ask you not to stay
