Texans | Team could land Moulds by Tuesday

FOXSports.com reports the Houston Texans could land Buffalo Bills WR Eric Moulds by Tuesday, April 4. Mark Berman, of KRIV-TV, says Moulds arrived in Houston Monday, April 3, in anticipation of the Bills trading him to the Texans. Berman expects a deal to happen during the next 24 hours. Moulds is more than willing to join the Texans, saying, "It would be great. It's extremely important for all the guys to be here for the off-season conditioning (program). I would like to get with the team, get to know the new players if things go well. Hopefully we can get it done. Hopefully I can get started and just play football, what I have been doing the last 10 years."

I just need some closure. If they are going to make the trade, do it and get it over with. More draft picks for us is cool.

If The Texans won't budge from a 5th, make them sweat. Nothing less than that 1st pick of Draft day 2 or start shopping him around.

Casserly would look like a fool for holding out on a 4th after all the publicity concerning the aquisition.

Basically, it comes down to Houston offering a 5th while the Bills want a 4th.

If I am marv I call up charlie and say 'your 4th or no trade period'. No negotiation, nothing. We dont' have to trade him. Put the pressure on his personal advisor to do a little ass kissing to get this done. :snicker2:

Nothing. We don't have to cut him. We have about 8-9 mill in available cap room now. He can just friggin sit!

if he misses a certain deadline, his contract would be pushed back a year ... he'd have the same pay next season with one season remaining

I agree, Moulds is worth that pick. They are really stuck here. They won't be able to get anyone with that pick that can step right in and help A Johnson as much as Moulds will be able to do.

I sure hope the Bills don't take a 5th. I would rather see them hold onto Moulds until another WR sets hurt somewhere.
