    An announcement today from Marv Levy ends the Losman trade speculation.

    "There really is no substance to that report. We've made no overtures to anyone. No one has approached us and even if they did, we have a regard for J.P. He's a young quarterback who has put in that learning time. I can name countless others who have gone through this process. There are many things about him that we like, such as his work ethic, his personal motivation and his skills are all pluses. Part of the good news is that he has yet to reach what he is capable of reaching. So, as we said before, it's an open competition at quarterback and J.P. is very much a part of it and we fully intend to have him in it."
    Sounds like Marv is committed to developing him as our QB of the future.
    When I die, please don't let my wife sell my camera equipment for what I told her I paid for it.

        Sounds to me Marv is looking to get a better draft pick for Losman.

        Marv, " There are many things about him that we like, such as his work ethic, his personal motivation and his skills are all pluses.", We will take nothing less then a 2nd rounder for Losman. We still like him but if the price is right then, SEE YA.

                right here. Pat Kirwan on NFLN, Sirius etc reported that he heard JP was being shopped. ESPN, Yahoo, D&C etal reported it as well.

                  GOOD! Now, will he grow up and mature enough to unseat Nall and holcomb? Marv can talk good about him all he wants, JP has to flat show some SERIOUS increase in mental abilities if he is going to get the job this time.

                    The article alludes to the speculation that came out of the NFL meetings a few weeks ago. Marv finally stood up and said his piece today.

                    Too bad he doen't peruse the Zone, he would have felt compelled tomake a statement last week.

                      Finally!

                      At least the final Anti-JP Losman player was sent out of here. That should help Losman try to develop a better relationship with the players. Now it's up to JP to work his ass off and win the job.

                          "Open competition" is PR fluff. Marv made his choice when he traded Moulds, let go of Sam, Lawyer and anyone else who was anti-JP in the locker room.

                          You're either with the Bills, or you're against JP.



                          Marv is officially a deputized member of the J.P.D.
