    What about LeBeau?

Dick LeBeau visited with the bills yesterday (feb 4th) Early Indications are that it went well. Espn.com Reports that The Bills will give an "Official" Report on how the Meeting went today.

"Former Bengals coach Dick LeBeau was scheduled to visit the Bills on Feb. 4 to discuss the team's offer to join their defensive staff. While the Bills don't have a specific coaching opening, they may create a new position to attract LeBeau, a noted defensive specialist. Previously, both head coach Gregg Williams and defensive coordinator Jerry Gray have said they would welcome LeBeau's addition. Bills spokesman Scott Berchtold confirmed the scheduled meeting, adding the team would likely wait until Wednesday to provide an update on how the visit went."

I wonder if getting Lebeau would help or hurt us in getting Spikes? Its seems that we have a little bad blood with the Bengals FO.

Yeah, I understand GW having a say in it, but Gray? He's probably shniting in his pants right now.

I am sure Gray just said it because it was the PC thing to say. I'm sure he wants LeBeau far, far away from Buffalo.

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. -- The Buffalo Bills have made Dick LeBeau an offer to join their coaching staff. Now it's up to the former Cincinnati Bengals' coach to decide whether he wants the job.

"We want him, and hopefully he wants us,'' Bills coach Gregg Williams said Wednesday, a day after LeBeau visited with the team at its suburban-Buffalo headquarters.

Williams said LeBeau wanted to take a few days to consider whether to take the Bills open offer.

"He has options,'' Williams said. "He wants to coach in the right situation. And yesterday, hopefully, we presented the right situation because he would be a valuable addition.''

Williams wouldn't elaborate on what role LeBeau, a noted defensive specialist, would have with the Bills. The team, which doesn't have any current coaching vacancies, is willing to create a new position -- likely a defensive assistant -- for LeBeau.

LeBeau was not available for comment and has avoided talking to the media since he was fired by the Bengals on Dec. 30 after going 12-33 overall, including a franchise-worst 2-14 finish this past season.

LeBeau, who turns 66 next September, has more than 40 years of NFL experience and was defensive coordinator on two AFC championship teams -- the 1988 Bengals and 1995 Steelers. He is also familiar with Bills president Tom Donahoe, whom he previously worked for when the two were in Pittsburgh in the mid-1990s.
