• Dec. 17 host Miami — Here's the potential home upset win. 3-11
• Dec. 31 at Baltimore — The best hope for the Bills is that the Ravens will have clinched a playoff berth and would rest some stars. 4-12

This guy is ridiculous... I just read the article and was quickly reminded of the pure pessimism that plauges many WNY sports writers. WITHOUT bias, we are at least a 5 win team, and more likely a 6 or 7 win team. With bias, we go .500 or better. With blinders, it's 10 wins and the playoffs!

Look at it objectively..

* We dont even know who our QB is
* OUr offensive line, guards in particular, are horrible.
* We couldnt stop the run last year and our run defense at least right now is even worse.
* Very big questions at safety, between Vincent's age and the fact that Baker has never started and Bowen hasnt started in three years.
* New coach and basically a mostly new coaching staff.

4-12 is VERY realistic for 2006.
This is obviously a young team being built over the next 2-3 years.

If i had fqaith in McGahee i'd say .500 but the fact is we can't rely on him. So with so many key holes, i can't see us getting past 5-6 wins. I just hope their division wins.

Going through the Bills schedule right after they announced, I came up with 4-12 as well....reasoning? there's way too many holes and question marks surrounding this team. It's not like if one "if" happens we can be a contender....it's more like 15 "ifs."

I think this guy is spot on as far as win projection. I don't know if they beat Baltimore, maybe somebody else... but this team right now is a 4 win squad at best. We should all be surprised/happy if they overstep that margin.
