Nothing burns me more than PP's reputation.

All he did was late hit someone out of bounds at the end of a 40 something to zero blowout one year and he gets a bad reputation.

I don't remember him ever being a problem when he was here.

He complained a little here and there and wanted to be a #1(or at least get #1 money). If he is healthy it is a good signing.

Jan Reimers
04-10-2006, 02:44 PM
He might have enough left to be a good 3rd or 4th receiver. I think it's a good move, if we got him for the veteran minimum.

Mr. Pink
04-10-2006, 02:45 PM
It's a good move....he was a legitimate 2 in this league which is more than any of us can say about everyone else behind Lee Evans. Whether or not he can regain that form remains to be seen, but I feel better about the odds of Price being a 2 over Josh Reed.

Mudflap1
04-10-2006, 02:45 PM
Fast, did well here a few years ago, probably came cheap. It's an okay signing. If he catches 40+ passes it's a good signing. We still don't have a bonafide number 1 guy to go along with Evans.

I see nothing wrong with adding more competition at WR. If he performs, Great, if not, he gets cut. Nothing lost.

I think this is a "sneak attack" signing.

Not one of us on this board expected it, yet it could turn out to be quite effective.

Good move.

Did he ever get his eye problem fixed?

Mr. Miyagi
04-10-2006, 03:44 PM
I love what Price says though. Seems like he's matured a lot.

(About the last 3 years) "It's been very humbling," said Price. "It's just something that I guess God wanted me to go through. That's how I look at it. It settles you down, makes you sit back and look at things in your life. It also made me look at this game as a business. When I was here on the first go-round I was just a kid playing football, but as you get older you start learning the business side of it."

The lessons he's learned since he left Buffalo have also made him a different person than the young receiver that could get moody at times while playing for the Bills.

"I'm a totally different guy," Price said. "I'm a more mature guy, just understanding the game, the business and I have a lot better understanding of life. You realize it isn't about you, it's about the opportunity and the people around you that give you the opportunity."

I love the signing.

Peerless could never make it without a strong #2.

I think it will be hard to cover Davis, parish, price, and evans or a combo of the 3.

Teams will have to pull there safties back opening up Magahee attack..

I am sorry Ice but if V Davis is available you take him...why?

He will tear up the middle.

Slow down the pass rush....and open both running and passing game.

I am not saying not to draft linemean...but davis is a rare prospect.

Pats allways took what the d gave them....one of these groups Wr's Rb or TE will be singled and you take it.

I would bet that is why holcomb is #1.

He is the smarter...to exploit the match ups.

I am now getting excited to see this team.

great move, no risk, all upside

price never figured out how to beat the press double as a #1. that fatal flaw was exposed dramatically in atl where there wasnt even a legit #2. i think he lost his mojo after that embarrassment and didnt seem to be able to get it back

if hes a) healthy and b) ok with being a #2/3 then it could be the steal of the offseason

price was such damaged goods he couldnt even get a job so he really has no choice but to take whatever the bills gave him. it can only go up from here

I guess it is worth a shot but given his lack of ability to influence any games in a positive way the last couple years I would not get too excited.

patmoran2006
04-10-2006, 04:54 PM
I wouldnt get excited yet, but I like the potential.. between him and davis, one of them should step up and emerge.. the more chances to find someone good, the better.

Speaking of "Davis", if they draft Vernon and one of the QB's get their head out from their ass, this offense is going to be much better than last year.

Are entire WR crew are all fast. It looks like they want to stretch the field. Holcomb and his noodle arm can't do that.

Having all these fast guys would be a waste with Holcomb and his 5 yard outs. If that's who you are gonna play you need to bring in more possession WR's not a bunch of guys that stretch the field. Playing Holcomb would defeat the purpose of having all these guys.

As a 4th or 5th WR tpo push Aiken and Reed, can't hurt.

I don't think he makes the final roister- but it can't hurt.

They didn't give him 2 Million a year or anythng- did they?

Johnathan Smith is listed as 3rd stringer above Andre Davis, 4th stringer.

There's a simple reason for that. Andre Davis hurt his wrist signing the contract. He is on IR again.
