    SI' Peter King on Wilson

    7. I think someone who likes him has got to get to Ralph Wilson, quickly, and say, "Ralph, you may not like this system very much, but you're 10 times better off with the system your peers overwhelmingly voted for instead of a system without a salary cap.'' It's impossible not to respect Wilson because he's such a devoted Buffalo person and such an anti-carpetbagger. But some of his criticisms of the new CBA are way off-base. If this deal hadn't gotten done, the next great Buffalo free agent (Willis McGahee, maybe) might have gone to Washington for three times what the Bills would have been willing to pay him a couple years down the road. I can't believe he doesn't see this.

Dude if there was no cap, Snyder would buy Portis, Willis AND another starter.

I'd be glad if he goes to Washington and scams Washington out of more money than he scammed out of Buffalo.

I disagree that current "as described" system would have been better than NO system. Redsucks and other teams would have been forced to dump players and Bills would not be competing at a higher level they can not afford. Bills managed their cap and got punished to bail out over spending teams.

What's to stop Snyder from paying Willis three times what the Bills would be able to offer him at that point anyway? Has that dumb-ass King paid any attention to what Snyder's done since he came into the league?

Peter King's a dick. And so are John Clayton and Jerry Sullivan.

It all goes back to a potential new owner not being eligible for revenue sharing...

Of course the new deal is better than no deal. It still doesn't mean the deal is good for the Bills though. Not if it raises the possiblity of them having to move to compete. It obviously is a great deal for the Redskins. They can't lose either way.
