Former USC quarterback Matt Leinart (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2006&id=9237) has already called his first pre-draft audible by firing Leigh Steinberg as his agent, sources with the NFL Players Association told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.
Leinart filed the necessary paperwork with the players' union on Monday, the sources said, and now has a five-day waiting period before he can hire another contract representative. Neither Leinart nor Steinberg could be reached for comment and the reason for the agent's dismissal was not immediately clear. Leinart is projected to be the first quarterback chosen in the NFL draft on April 29.

I was thinking the same thing...Of all the big agents Steingburg seems to be the least biggest scumbag...Rosenhaus is the absolute dirtball of the profession.

It is Condon. It's Steinberg's arch-rival, and Justice signed on with Condon.

because whatever contract Rosenass negotiates for Leinart could very well come back to bite the Bills next year.

Say Leinart gets drafted #2, Rosenass orchestrates a holdout and he gets some insane contract.

Now say the Bills absolutely tank this season, Losman and Nall are both AWFUL and we end up with the #1 pick (I don't really think this will happen- it's only a hypothetical). We draft Brady Quinn #1. Guess who's contract we now have to beat?

Or, what if JP Losman tears it up this year? Next year, he's gonna say "Look what Leinart got before he even took a snap- I proved myself so give me even more".

Rosenass' actions have ripple effects throughout the league.
