His previous salaries were $2.5 million for both 2006 & 2007, but now NFLPA has his salaries at $1.45 million for both years......

If the difference was guaranteed (i.e. signing bonus), that's $2.1 million spread out over 2 yrs......no cap savings......thus, Chris Villarrial likely took a pay cut with a chance to re-earn that money....plus it's likely he got a small signing or roster bonus.....

I'll need to check my source....

With all his hammy and thigh injuries, he needed the money for leg warmers.

If they were willing to ask Moulds for salary cut, then Chris Villarrial should not beyond asking.

I Hope he's unemployed before September... I dont think he's much better than Bennie Anderson..

I hope we sign Reyes AND draft a guard.

I can't. Villarreal and Jauron have been together before and he's pretty solid. Even if he does get beat out to start, which is a long shot, he'll at least be a back-up.

Villariel is a beast when healthy. If he can't stay healthy then i'm oppsosed. But Willis can't juke or cut because of his knee fear and we welcome him.>?

Villarrial is not going anywhere he's the coaches pet , he was with Jauron in Chicago. There's no way that Jauron will cut Villarrial.

Just what we need, a nearly $3 million dollar backup who's 11 years in the league.

I dont think Villarrial goes anywhere this year either. But if he plays like he did last year, he'll be lucky to be hawkin programs in the parking lot in 2007.
