he's not going to be a team player.
Keeping him against his will, I don't like.
He's not improving, in fact he's losing a step.
Add that he's not happy here, I vote to trade him for some picks!

agreed. I don't know how he thinks he has any type of bargaining position after the season he had.

I think he could be a great corner for us this year and the future, IF he wants to be.

hope he pulls his head out of his ass. if he can't do that, then I guess we do need to seek a trade.

preachin to the choir man. hes definately not worth the money he wants. especially after the way sage freakin rosenfels ripped him up for a dolphin record...trade him for a frist rounder and let some other team over pay him.

Again, Chambers wasn't even Clements responsiblity half the time. Great coaching Jerry Gray.

then why was clements the closest guy to him on most of his catches?

Clements was afraid of the big plays so he was playing 5 yards off of him. And don't give me that Jerry Gray 10-yard buffer crap because he was making catches 20 yards down the field- the buffer should be closed by then.

I agree. Buf should trade him away for a late first rounder. Draft Mike Huff to replace him. The use the late first rounder on a DT ot OT.

We could use the late 1st rounder for best available guard. Like Joseph or Jean-Gilles

I give in. Trade the f**ker. Greedy bastard is not nearly as good as he thinks. I guess he got all wet once he saw some of the ridiculous contracts being offered this offseason.

With the right team around him he will be better!

anyone who needs a team around him to be better isn't worth Champ Bailey money.

Every time I complain about not fixing the OL or DL in FA, someone says "well we would have had to overpay". Yet no one seems to have a problem giving a huge contract to Clements.

In 05, he sucked.

In 04, he knocks that ball down against Jacksonville in Week 1 instead of selfishly going for the pick, and we go to the playoffs.

Sure, give him $63 million.

Not saying he's worth the money Champ Bailey got but even Champ Bailey has plenty of help. It's a team game and it doesn't matter how great a player you have at any one position. If you don't have solid players surrounding him, he'll still look average at best.

Clements game have a $63 Million dolalr contract if:

It is a 2 year contract
Signing bonus and first year contract total no more than $5 million
To get the rest he needs to make probowl at all positions on defense

I heard Huff on WGR friday afternoon talking to Clayton and Salisbury about who is interested in him and at what position. He said its pretty split between teams, but said that Buffalo and some other team was looking at him as a CB. I don't think Huff would be drafted to be a nickel back.

we should trade his ass I am positive we could get a 1st rounder for him

If he doesn't want to be here then trade him. I want him back but if all he wants is the money then screw him.

We would probably get a 2nd round pick for him. Maybe a late first if we were lucky.

Getting 1st round picks for a franchise player like we did for Price doesn't happen often. Donahoe was shrewd enough to get it. Marv isn't.

Trade him to KC for their 1st (20th pick). KC will be looking for a CB with their 1st pick.... so why not get an experienced (self-proclaimed) best CB...?

Then select : @ 8 : Huff & @ 20 : Eric Winston
2nd round: best DT/OG available
3rd round: a) Best safety available & b) Best DT/OG depending on what they did in the 2nd...

That would make for an awesome draft!
