AP - With Carson Palmer constantly getting injured the Jaguars apparently are looking for a top backup, spot starter. According to a source inside the Jaguars organization GM Olander and company are planning to make a strong push for a top backup quarterback. According to the source Olander has made a backup quarterback priority #1. Source said that Olander has stated that you can never have enough depth at the quarterback position. Possible cuts include Daunte Culpepper and Donovan McNabb.

With free agency and the draft looming the Jaguars seem to have kept the core of their franchise together. The Jaguars seem to have a more explosive offense this year with the emergence of Carson Palmer, Anquan Boldin and a top offensive line led by Orlando Pace, Jon Jansen, Steve Hutchinson and top backup Jon Runyan. They also have Chris Cooley and Erron Kinney who have shown great strides on improving at the TE/FB positions.

Rookies Antrel Rolle and DeMarcus Ware will look to keep the Jaguars defense strong. Eddie Drummond, arguably the teams MVP last year, will lead a strong Jags special teams.
