Is our DEffense more suited to play the 3-4 ? This means we dont need to go after a DT cuz Pat can play NT. That means Spoon also gets to start at the the ILB posistion. And it means we can go after keeping Keith Newman since this style allows him to play better. It will create more opportunities for him to rush the qb.

I'd have to go with Colin on this one.

I am all for it, but we would have to fire Gray. We went through this last year.

To be more specific, we have the corners, the MLB, one good DT, and some good speed at DE, we could add 2 OLB and a DT and/or DE and have very good aggressive 46/4-3 cover 2 D. We have the cash, and we can add those parts to really improve our D.

Not to be a jerk but you should probably prooF read your last post.

On to the topic at hand. Our linebackers are too slow to run a 3-4, IMO.

No matter which way you go you need 2 OLB's. The question is: is it worth it to get Spoon on the field, and only need 1 DL, or should we go get 2 DL?

Spoon was OK in his rookie season, but has not really even played since. A 4-3 allows the DEs to do different things too, and with our speed, especially if we get Douglas, the 4-3 will allow us to have a chance at a killer pass rush.

I dont think our DEs can handle playing a 3-4 IMO
