Assuming we are done in FA until the draft (I figure that's a pretty safe bet), how important do you see our prioriteis come draft day? Considering position alone, where should we be looking?

For me, DT is #1, then OG, OT and S. Everything else is BPA.

This is why I'd like to see us trade down (extra 2nd) and get Bunkley with our 1st, Lutui with our 2nd, Simpson or Whitner with our other 2nd (one of them has to slide) and either Whitworth or Scott with our first 3rd. It would be all BPA from there...

Do you think other positions hold higher priority?

1-OT
2-DT
3-OG
4-SS

Does this mean Justice in the 1st if Brick doesn't fall to us (or we don't trade up for him)? Just curious... trying to feel out as many scenarios as possible with this.

I'd go DT, OG, OG, SS - all day one picks. Our Tackles will be fine.

Or I'd go DT, OG, DE, SS.

I say:

LT
DT
OG
LB

Am I the only person who wants to move Gandy to LG?

considering position alone? Yes...although I'm not totally sold on Justice at 8. I don't think he's a Mike Williams, but I wonder how effective he'll be on the right side.

Outside of Brick, I think trading down and either going OT-DT-G-SS or DT-OT-G-SS is our best bet.

I can't believe it's in less than 2 weeks. :rockout:

I haven't seen any mocks with an owner worth taking on day one!

Mine would be DT, G, S, OT, DE.

As far as where they are picked, I don't care. It's not mando that a DT HAS to be picked in Round 1. There is depth in our positions of need and you need to let the Draft come to you by not reaching.

A trade down scenerio in Round 1 would net us an extra Day one pick, making it easier to fill holes.

:bf1:

....unless "reaching" includes trading up a couple spots for Brick (if he's there at 6)

I agree. I would definitely take Huff if he were available in the first round, and a guy like McCargo in the second, even though I also think DT is our top priority.

McCargo would be a great pick in the second, provided DT isn't addressed in the first round.

At #8 we should take huff or davis if they are still around. Their will be some dts available in the second, watson or harris. I am also not sold on the idea that we are done in free agency, or a trade of sort. with our first round pick i wouldnt be happy taking justice its way to early for him, and if hes the player that the team wants then trade down some spots.

Yes he would but I wrote down several DT's who could help in our rotation. Some are 1st rounders and others may go in the 3rd or 4th.

I guess the point is, I'll wait until Sunday is over to grade the draft instead of freaking out after Round 1 or 2. Some here are so focused on one or 2 players that anything less will mean a massive comedown and a whiney thread to follow.

I'd agree, unless D'Brick's there at 8...

Hey TDummy, your signature touts Holcomb. Do you really, seriously think the Bills are going anywhere with him at QB? And do you really think that Losman can be judged a failure after 8 starts?

Man, I just don't get it.

One decent [FULL] year and everyone will be back on board
:bandwagon

I think (hope) he'll be fine....we just have to get him some protection and let him learn.

Priorities? Heck, that's an easy one. Here's my top 5:

1(tie). Be a good husband to my wife.
1(tie). Become a father, and a damn good one @ that.
3. Kick butt @ work, get a promotion, and eventually move out of the cesspool that is Baltimore.
4. Invest more of my earnings, so that I can eventually become my own boss.
5. Try my best not to strangle everyone I see, be it @ work or elsewhere.
