    Pros and Cons: Mike Hollis

Another pick up in the off season was Mike Hollis. In posting this, I can't think of too many cons but I'm sure there are some.

Pro: 54 yards to tie the game in Minnesota.

Con: when he has a bad it is really bad, better days are behind him

Con: he sucks really bad at kickoffs...really bad. He would often kick it out of bounds on kickoffs.

Pro: Dosn't get much more clutch than hitting a 54 yarder to send it to OT...I will remember the scream i let out when that ball bounced off the upright, then went in.

Could Moorman do kickoffs? I've seen him at training Camp kicking off and he can kick the heck out of it. I just don't want him to get a dead leg again

I think Moorman could do kickoffs. A big part of what caused the fatigue last year was NFL Europe

              Stop with the punter fatigue.

              He's a frikin' PUNTER!

you want to stop getting tired? Halv the 100 or so punts a week in practice.

Hollis does suck on kick-offs that's why I could care less if he stays or goes. Better performance on kick-off's would translate into more points than a couple more missed field goals if the guy is not as consistent. You can't ignore the big kicks though having a clutch guy is huge. It would be better to have a guy you are confident throwing out there for a 55 yarder any time in the game also like David Akers. We chose to punt from the 32 yard line last season I don't care about the weather Hollis is expendable.

Pro: He's a proven kicker in the NFL, and is a way for the Bills to avoid another Jake Arians/Shayne Graham combo

Con: His kickoffs are terrible. Nothing a kickoff specialist on the roster couldn't solve though.

Note: Kickers are a dime a dozen, if we dump Hollis, we just need to put some effort into finding a reliable replacement.

Sometimes fan's memories just friggen amaze me....

Hollis had what.....ONE bad game last year?

He is not a kickoff specialist...and never was

It is that hard to remember the year before him when we couldn't count on our kicker to hit a chippee field goal regardless of the situation....and it factored in so much that we were going for it on 4th down in situaitons where we realistically should have been kicking field goals....

Please, please...PLEASE dont let Hollis go in a year where we might actually be good enough to get far into the playoffs....I hope Bills mgt has learned its lesson here.....
