With all the offensive line problems we've had, wouldn't the best lineman on the best team in college be better for us than a large WR who happens to play TE?

I am not condoning the pick but I am also leery of taking Justice and moving him to LT.

I don't have an issue with it. USC took their best/ most athletic lineman and put him to protect lionarts blind side. I still feel IF lionart had been right handed Justice would be RT.

I would be happy with Davis, Bunkley, or Justice. But davis does bring a lot, he loves to block too. He could help out huge in many areas, the big possession guy(replac Moulds), tough, and can block well in the running game. But any of these guys I think could come in a help out right away. If we were to choose Bunkley or Justice, I hope we trade down a little to get them.

Strange how reports differ. I have read several that said Blocking was his weakness, and that he hated having to do it. :idunno:

A TE that can run away from many DB's? I'll take him.

I've read that too, and I don't know where people are getting that from. At the combine, it was emphasized how much Davis loves to block and the fact that he is an old fashioned blocker who just doesn't quit. Davis is a fantastic specimen who has to be taken by us if he's there. He's a WR trapped in a TE's body with top Fullback-like skills.

The only thing he hasn't done is develop QB skills to throw the option from behind the line...yet! :D:

I read it in Dr. Z's column on SI.com, and have seen it other places too. I don't watch College ball, so I only have them to go by.

During the combine he was interviewed and he said he loved the challenge of blocking. He admitted it was his weakness, but it wasn't that bad.

I just got done watching a special on ESPN, college day challeneg(or something like that), and davis was one of the people they selected. He looked amazing. After seeing how big he was a fast, I don't see any reason why we shouldn't take this specimen. Mel Kiper said he is a far better prospect than Kellen Winslow II coming out of college.

The bills have VD in this mock draft. Maybe they were with the same hooker I was with last week.

Blocking is the weakest part of his game, but it's not terrible. I have season tix to Maryland, and he has been the lone bright spot on the offense. The kid is an absolute beast who does whatever is asked of him, and plays with a serious mean streak. His receiving ability is off the charts. The kid makes catches like you wouldn't believe. One-handed, getting hit. As for his blocking, he gets the job done, and he's mean about it, but he does seem to lack technique at times.

Everyone said the same thing about Mike Williams that he could play LT and the only reason why he was a RT was because it was Chris Simms' blindside.

As it turned out Williams couldn't handle RT let alone LT.

Does anyone else find it very suspect that the Saints would draft a QB like Leinart after they spent $70 million in Drew Brees? (albeit an injured Drew)

I don't see the Saints taking Leinert at #2, or Young going top seven unless Oakland jumps on him.
