All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

I dont think so, atleast not for awhile. I dont think the atmosphere in the locker room would gel good between the players and the coach, and respect would certainly factor in.
I think this is a good debate though...And I dont mean this to be a sexist remark at all.
Since a good majority of NFL coaches had some sort of playing experience in the NFL or at least, college, I'd be inclined to say no. Unless you count Kathy Ireland as the kicker in "Necessary Roughness," I don't know of any women to even play football on the college level.

P.S. Just because I said I don't know of any, doesn't mean there hasn't been, but, I'm sure the media would be all over it if there were.
I agree with most of you about it not happening, but it's an interesting thing to think about.
BL, the media would be all over it...And it wouldn't be what's best for the team. Unless she was a VERY good coach, I could never see this happening, even if she is that good, it probably still wouldn't happen. PMS wouldn't be good either.
There is nothing in place to set the stage for a female coach: no pool of former female players, no serious consideration to have female players in the future, as far as I'm aware there are no female coaches of high school football, and certainly none who are likely to move up through college into the pros. There will be no female coaches in the pros or in division 1 A college ranks in my lifetime, and probably a lot longer than that. I expect to hang around for at least another quarter century or more.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.
I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.
