On the morning of April 19, 1995, Timothy McVeigh parked a rented Ryder truck with explosives in front of the complex and, at 9:02am, a massive explosion occurred which sheared the entire north side of the building, killing 168 people. Included were 19 children in a day care center located in the building.

I ask that at 9:02 CST you take a second and remember those people and their families. I have made this request here because this is the board most visited. I hope the mods will leave it up until tomorrow.

Thanks.

Peace.

Yeah the moron during an interview in Jail says 'I'm a Bills fan'. Oh yeah, I didn't catch any hell for that one....

I agree. We should remember Oklahoma City just like we do 9/11. Domestic terrorism which takes innocent lives is just as bad as the foreign kind.

Yessir. We tend to forget about Okla City in the wake of 9/11. that is unacceptable.

...and sadly, the lesson is that there really isn't much prevention if the terrorist keeps his mouth shut.

I was in 9th grade about an hour away from Oklahoma City. My baseball coaches wife was severely injured in the bombing. A day every year I remember.

Dude! This and then Katrina. Could you possibly NOT come to the opener? I think you're bad luck.
