Gil Brandt was interesting on NFLN

He thinks Tenn goes with young (me too) Lionert goes to Oakland. He then said if Cutler drops past Oakland there will be several teams looking to trade up.

I am feeling more and more Marv and TM want to move down just a few spots and go DT. I can see Baltimore at 13 and Minn at 17 trading up with us.

But how far are we willing to trade down? Brandt says he feels Arizona goes with a DT to stop the run (I think Ngata here). he says Denny green doesn't want to take 3 years to develop a QB.

Where do you guys see us possibly trading down to?

Never know what the Rams are thinking?

Rams could move up to #8 to guarantee Ngata.....I do not see the Ravens moving up for a QB...if he's there at #13, maybe they take him.....

Anything lower than #13 and both DTs are likely gone.......

I still think that they REALLY like Winston......Vikes or Cowboys to #8....we take Winston or best player at #17 or #18

if any team passes on Leinart for Young, they're morons. I'm not convinced on Leinart as an NFL QB, but he's more likely to succeed than Young.

LOL You might want to rethink your first sentence. Or maybe the 2nd?

There are only 2 DTs worth taking in the top 15 over all picks. Neither of them, IMO, will be available to see the 12 overall.

There is a better chance of grabbing an OT later in the first.

Tennessee WILL NOT take Young over Leinart.

If Matt's own college OC passes him over for another QB, the red flags will fly and Cutler will end up getting picked before him. He'll drop like a stone.

Great point. His own OC will for sure be able to evaluate his talent, and if Norm Chow doesnt think his old college Qb is worth any more than Vince Young, then its gonna be a dicey situation for people looking at Leinart.

The scuttlebut is that the Tennessee coaching staff likes Leinart while the the front office likes Young. The question is who wins the battle. Hint: don't bet on the coaches.

Yeah, they won't pass on Leinart. I mean, you have Leinart who ran Norm Chow's offense for 2 years and knows it inside and out and would be able to step in and take the reigns on day 1 with very little learning curve. Young would have to learn a completely new offense, one that doesn't feature him like it did in college, and he would be taking most of his snaps from under center and would be required to read defenses AND learn a new offense....Not even bringing into his Wonderlic score, but I believe Leinart will be there choice and instead of concentrating on learning a new O he could concentrate on learning how to read D's....Just my 2 cents but it makes just too much sense to pass on him if you are the Titans.
