It looks even weirder smaller because of Ralph, trust me :D That whole pic will be smaller and part of another pic anyway, so I didn't go nuts w/ the shadowing and detail.

The hardest part was putting the jersey in - the one they're really holding is the old style.

You're right though Miagi - first you have to like doing this type of stuff, then you just have to keep at it.. And still, I'm not even CLOSE to the ability of some of the people out there.

I can see how the jersey could be hard. You either go crawling around the internet to find just the right font, or you make your own graphics. That stuff takes a lot of time man.

I started out just messing around with a pirated copy of Photoshop, then needing to make my own website. Then as I got better at it my department designated me to do the department website. It's history from there.

Then just as I think I'm pretty good, I look at an ad in any magazine or the Photoshop samples and I KNOW I'm nothing compared to some people out there. Here's one of the Adobe samples:

Yep.. This particular time one of the stock fonts matched, but if I had a nickel for every hour I've spent searching for fonts.... LOL

That IS really nice.. There's always gonna be people more talented out there, but I think one way to 'even the field' is with creativity - I don't care how much someone knows the software, if they're not creative, or have an 'eye' for what looks good, they're sunk.. But take someone with a good eye and creativity, and they can knock you out with their stuff, even with just a rudimentary knowledge of PS. You see that all the time on the net, which is why its so incredible.

Then you can take someone with eye, creativity AND an incredible knowledge of PS (as well as 3D, web design...) and you get stuff like that pic you posted - really gorgeous.
