Don't buy a new jersey just yet....!

While buying my souvenir Sabres/Flyers puck from the Sabres store Tuesday night (after THAT game, the puck I bought for a mesely $5 will hold a lot more value than that to me! But I digress...). Anyway, as I was paying, I overheard the cashiers talking about how they pity the fans who are buying the current jerseys. Intrigued, I asked them about what they were talking about. Although one of the cashiers seemed hesitant to talk about the secret they just let outta the bag, the other cashier was more than happy to talk, since she figured the fans "have a right to know." Anyway, she went on to say that the Sabres colours and jerseys are going to be changing VERY soon. They will be going back to blue and yellow, but they will not be the traditional colour schemes we are used to. That is all she would tell me, but I thought it was quite interesting, and I thought you all might want to know.

Seriously, it seems we've been hearing this "truth" for ages now, and not a single light of it has come out. The closest thing to confirmation of new unis has been the big meetings the NHL has, where they've pretty much let slip the whole Reebok/NHL streamlining of jerseys. In my opinion, they'll suck. You guys did see those horribly thin jerseys they wore for the Olympics, right? Those were awful. I am still kicking myself in the ass for not buying a World Cup Russia jersey with Ovechkin's name on it some time back, since all I can seem to find at a good price now are the Oly jerseys. :down:

The goat heads suck. The color scheme is way too common.

The blue and gold are great. I have my Perreault throwback and love it.

Finally, the current 3rd jersey (the red one) is the 2nd ugliest in hockey next to only the Smokey the Bear Bruin jerseys.

i like the goat head and i do like the current jerseys but im starting to get excited about going back to the blue and gold

and i like totally agree on the 3rd jersey barely sqeaking by the homely bear on puke colored jerseys to avoid being the butt ugliest

I dont like the Goathead,but I do like the black jerseys and the alternative one. Also,the blue and gold were going back to wont be the same one. Its supposed to be similiar to the NFLs Rams colors.
