The place is going to be rocking tonight as the loudest barn in the NHL get's ready to host game three.

I was at a Flames/Oilers game a few weeks ago and the noise level was similar to playoff levels.

Can't frikking wait.

Watch out for fluke goals again out there tonight.

I'll be expecting Pronger to get a goal in a 3rd straight game, too.

Detroit wins in OT.
Bwahahaha. Puck slid under the net.

Woo Hoo. I don't have a voice today and the place was deafening. The confetti touch for a goal was cool too.

Gotta like the beef toss.

The ones (steaks) that were thrown in Detroit were from two radio DJs from here. They thought they'd answer the octopus and start a new one.

Edmonton up 2-1.

I will fight Georges Laraques for tickets to game four.

They review it, it went under the side of the net.
Goalie lifted the net ever so slightly and the puck sneaked under there.

Great game by the Oil, nbf. They played their asses off, and stuck it out, even after what appeared to be the GWG in the OT period. :whew:

There is nothing better than playoff hockey, with real OT, that keeps you up near to 11:30 PST on a work night, when you have to get up at 5:30am the next morning.

Game 4 goes tonight with the Oil holding the home ice advantage. I hope to heck they can win tonight and take oout Detroit at Joe Louis on Saturday.

If this series goes 6 or 7 games the edge has to go back to Det.

Mr.Reality

That goal wasn't in.

I fell asleep at 1:30 in the morning. I missed the last goal. I tried to stay awake but all of a sudden it was morning.

Mr.Reality

Some of the calls are ******ed. There are way too many power plays. Detroit just scored on one. There was a play earlier where a Detroit guy got called for diving when an Edmonton guy had a stick up in his balls.

I was saying somewhere else that it was going to irk me if some important games got decided on stupid wussy power plays, and this is exactly the kind of crap I was talking about.

I don't think I've seen a quality 5 on 5 opportunity yet in this series, mostly because they hardly ever play 5 on 5 anymore. The game is almost constantly in some sort of a power play situation.

Good thing you're here Mr. Reality... I thought I was the only supporter of the Wings in this joint. I'm a Sabres fan first and foremost but I've always liked the Wings too, and everybody else seems to hate them.

Mr.Reality

I realize they are a bandwagon type hockey team and they spend lots of money, but this is Michigan and I really have no choice.

As a Wings fan I often wish they'd trade in a little speed for a little more checking. It kills us all the time in the playoffs.

West and first is Oilers

Second of course is B-lo.

True enough, they certainly seem to blow it in the postseason every damn year.

See what I mean about the power play contest BS?

The Wings are benefitting so far tonight, but it's still BS. It's wuss hockey. This is not the way hockey is supposed to be played.

Horrible discipline tonight by the Oilers.

Blatant missed call on the go ahead goal.

That doesn't clear the Oilers from their stupid mistakes. 22 minutes in the penalty box didn't make things easier. Four of those were in the last 10 minutes of the game. MORONS!!!!

Frikkin idiots.

Another great win for the Oil, man!

I have to admit, though, that game got scary late. I thought that Detroit was going to get another fluke goal to tie it!

Pronger & Roloson have been the stars of this series. Here's hoping that Edmonton can close this one out the next game. We could potentially see the #1, #2, & #4 seeds in the West gone by the end of the 1st round.

As much as I'd like to see a battle of Alberta, I'd like to see the Ducks come from behind and put out the number 3 seed.

Happens more often than not to teams that chase for the Presidents Cup. Burn out during the regular season and tank in the playoffs.

What a game, nbf!

I couldn't believe what I was seeing. Hemsky finally showed up in the series.

It's just like many of us said ALL SEASON LONG---The Wings preyed on weak teams in their division, and won the Presidents' Trophy because of it, but put them against a team with the heart and tenacity of the Oilers, and they can't hang. There are a slew of teams in the West who would've eliminated them (SJ, Colorado as well).

Congrats to Edmonton---Now, get ready for either Calgary or San Josè.

Mr.Reality

Edmonton played better and tougher. They deserved to win.

I'm kind of used to the Wings getting bounced early. They either lose in the first round or go to the finals. There's no in-between with them.
