As the Flyers look back and stir the ashes of their time here, they cannot make this about the officiating, even if the two games have seen the Sabres have a 21-8 advantage in power plays.
This is not about the goaltending, either, and that is acknowledging that Robert Esche clearly did his part in what was an epic ungluing for the Flyers last night.
This is all about speed now. The Sabres have it and the Flyers don't. This is all about trying to find a way to counteract what is a decided Buffalo advantage in both swiftness and composure. The autopsy after two games, if it were to be performed on the Flyers, would end with a finding by the coroner of death by windburn. Everybody knows it.
