Sabres Annihilate Cheap Flyers Team 8-2
The Buffalo Sabres absolutely destroyed the Philadelphia Flyers tonight 8-2. J.P. Dumont and Jason Pominville both notched hat tricks as the Sabres romped all over a Flyers team that could do little more than throw cheap shots and watch the Sabres fly around the ice. Ryan Miller had another good game in net for the Sabres while Robert Esche proved to be a one game fluke as he was chased from the Flyers' net after just one period when he allowed 5 goals on 10 shots. Buffalo simply outclassed Philadelphia in every aspect of the game. It was sad to see a great player like Peter Forsberg resort to the cheap shot tactics Philadelphia is famous for. Toni Lydman rebounded from a horrible game in game one with a strong game tonight. Buffalo, to a man, were tough, focused and relentless. Philadelphia couldn't play with the Sabres and they can't intimidate Buffalo.
