I hope Buffalo keeps throwing names out there. I'd shocked if any of these rumors that have been released are going to happen. In the end I say its Maurice Stovall in the 1st.

If it happens, we'll see who can form an opinion and actually keep it, or if you'll just get all ICE'd out and change your mind 24 hours later. Since 90% of you hate us drafting a QB and Ive heard a million Cutler is Kyle Boller comparisons.

Bait for the Vikings?

Good point.. Could be right on the mark there.

IF (and let me stress if) Hawk, Davis and Brick are all gone, I would trade down to 17 to pick up a 2nd rounder and maybe something else.

Just reported - your PM box is filled and it is your turn in mock draft

Why would Buffalo send out a rumor that they are taking a QB? Wouldn't Minnesota just ask the Raiders to trade up to get ahead of us. It just doesn't make sense.

I'm with you on that. Hawk, Davis and Brick are too good to pass up. I wouldn't however, be disappointed if we left Huff on the board to trade down to 17 for a 2nd rounder and change.

I do not think we're taking a QB. I do not want to take a QB and will throw a hissy fit if we do draft one at #8. That said, whatever happens, happens. I'll get over it.

Sure, and if they did, maybe the guy we actually want drops to us from the Raiders.

Huff and Davis BOTH may be there and we may be targeting one.

SF is going to land Hawk due to 2 QB's getting grabbed in the top 5. Davis will slip to us.

How would Hawk fall past Green Bay? They supposely love him.

I think conventional thinking would be for GB to take D'Brick or that Williams somehow drops to them.

ESPN insider says that the Bills and the Rams are trading picks so that the Rams can move up to get Cutler. Youneed the insider to have it (which I don't have.) Personally, I don't put too much validity into these rumors the week of the draft. I don't know if the link works, but basically says that Jauron wants DBrick or Hawk, which most think neither will be there at #8 and that STL has the Cards picking Cutler at 10, and that DET really wants Huff at 9 and won't trade. Again, I don't know if the link works and this all could be an intentional "leak" from OBD to get some action from the Rams.

For all the "smoke" we're seeing.

Marv wont get it done.. He'll take Brod Bunkley at 8, when he could prolly have him 12-14

Breaking News: Like every other team in the top 10, the Bills reportedly have interest in all of the top 10-15 players.

Actually, here in Orlando the FoxSports Radio (740AM) has a great soundbyte they've been running all week....

"And with the 4th pick in the 2006 NFL Draft the New York Jets take.......Santonio Gramatica...kicker from Southern Florida" <que the typical JETS fans' Boooooos>

cracks me up each time.

p.s. "smoke?", if we want to blow smoke, why not trade the Dolphins for Ricky? The man can apparently hold his own in that department...

If the Raiders are considering drafting a guy we want, and the Vikings are considering drafting a QB that we don't want, it makes perfect sense. Get the Raiders behind us so they don't take our guy.

Do NOT throw away any chance that Levy will NOT take Jay Cutler.. I sure as hell aint saying he will. But if thats his "Jim Kelly" Marv Levy WILL TAKE HIM whether any of us like it or not..

Sportsuser101
04-26-2006, 09:47 PM
I don't think we should draft a QB. Way too many holes. With that said if Cutler were the pick it would be the right QB to pick. Cutler, in my opinion, is far and away the best QB in this draft. I think Cutler is a top 10-15 pick while I believe Leinart is a late 1st rounder-earlier 2nd round and Young I believe is a mid 2nd rounder. To be honest I think Kellen Clemens is better then Young. But I guess thats why I'm not a GM and they are. I just call it how I've seen from everything I've seen and everything I read.

"Now we're not looking at going in to wheel and deal on the trade market, but we're sure not going to close it off," Levy said. "In fact, the guy we sort of like right now, my strong guess would be that he'll be there four spaces below."

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=ap-draft-bills&prov=ap&type=lgns

Earlier in this article, Levy in an obvious tongue in cheek comment declared that the Bills would draft Reggie Bush at #8. The comment about liking a player whom they think would be available four spots later doesn't sound like misdirection, but an invitation for teams in the 9th through the 12th spots to start bidding for the chance to trade with Buffalo. He could not be refering to Cutler IMO. He could however be refering to Bunkley, who might drop to 12.

I'll LMAO if we draft a QB at #8 then I'll weep like a baby, contemplate suicide, followed by fits of anger, then denial, then acceptance sometime in the later part of the 1st rd where I'll come to grips with it, and make a positive spin and look forward to pick #2

If ralph wants fans in the seats, Marv had best NOT take a QB. Fans are sick of trading away or spending firsts on QB's only to go get another one in a couple years.

To make people trade ahead of us if they want a QB. Then the guys we really want fall to us.

Just think a new GM here is a chance to give yourself atleast 3-4 years as GM, drafta young QB sit him for year one start year two show progression year three and give me 1 more year and Ralph we are there, with that said, the hell with that stick with JP this year and if he does not improve (with the addition of a better OL) then drafy Quinn next year!

Honestly, I disagree. I think if we brought in a Young or Leinart, ticket sales would go through the roof. There are so many people who have already given up on JP. I don't want to see it happen though.

This is a bunch of hogwash. I believe that there is no truth to these rumors, and all this is to me is paralysis by analysis.

BTW, Cutler doesn't impress me one friggen bit. I don't see what all the buzz is about him. He was so average in college it makes me sick. Even though I am 99.999999% sure we won't take him, if we did, I would go completely crazy.
